Watertoren Tegelen is an adaptation of an existing water tower into apartments. Re-design focuses on two main aspects:

• new communication system: indoor elevator and outdoor staircase
• new facade providing equal amount of daylight in each of the apartments.

Facade perforation is generated through branching algorithm, deriving inspiration from the surrounding trees. Position of the existing openings becomes the starting point for further growth. Similar pattern reappears around the outdoor staircase, helping to blend this subtle design intervention into the surrounding forest.
